Apologies if I’m a bit late to the party here girls, but I just had to dedicate a post to my current favourite blush…Like many beauty buffs, I’ve always lusted after the simply stunning Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. Who could resist those beautiful swirls of pink and mauve? However, the price of £56 is, quite frankly, insane. There is just no way I could justify splashing that much of my student budget on a makeup product. Maybe when I’m rich one day!
That’s when I started to get wind from the blogging world of a new range of blushers by Max Factor…the words “Hourglass dupe” were thrown around and things got a little exciting. So like the good blogger I am, I trotted off to the Boots makeup counters to check them out. Have a read of my thoughts and let me know what you think!
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink (£8)
Just look at how pretty!!
Now I’ve only tried one of the shades out of the possible six available. I chose to go for Seductive Pink, which is a really lovely mix of mauve and pale and dark pink, all blended together in a swirl of deliciousness! The formula is baked, light-weight, really pigmented and easy to apply. Personally, I like to swirl my Real Techniques Blush Brush into the pot then lightly dust it down my cheekbones and over the apples of my cheeks. This gives me a nice rosy glow with a touch of luminosity when the light hits my face.
The colour is subtle enough for a “barely-there” makeup look, but can be built up for more va va voom. If you prefer something more intense though, then I’d suggest either the Lovely Pink or Gorgeous Berries. Something else that gets a big thumbs up from me is the fact that this range provides a good selection of shades for all skin colours, from pale to dark. Often this is forgotten by both drugstore and high-end brands which is a shame in this day and age!
Overall, I’m a massive fan of this blusher and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something high-quality without the high-end price!
Have you tried this Max Factor blusher? What did you think of it? And what are your favourite blushers on the market right now?
Thanks for reading!
