One of the best things about spring/summer has to be swooning over the beautiful new fashion and beauty collections. I always get far too excited about the limited edition makeup ranges from brands like Chanel, Dior and YSL, even if I can’t afford them!
And the one that really caught my eye this year? Without a doubt it was the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Collection. I mean just look at that bronzer!
The first thing that got my attention was obviously the packaging and overall look of this product. I love the red and silver compact which is actually really big, but not at all clunky! And of course, when you open it, it’s just stunning. The powder is split into 3 sections with slightly different shades in each which means you can use a smaller, pointed brush if you want a particular shade, or just take a big fluffy brush and swirl it all around for a custom shade. This gives this bronzer a nice versatility which should suit all skin tones.
There is a subtle sparkle to this powder, which means it shouldn’t be used for contouring, but instead for giving some natural warmth. Sweep it over cheekbones, the forehead and down the nose for a sunkissed glow. My favourite thing about this bronzer is that it really does give you such a gorgeous natural tan, like I’ve just come back from holiday. I use a small amount on days when I just want to give my complexion a bit of colour, and it can easily be built up for something deeper. I also like to dust it over my shoulders and collarbone for some definition!
Sorry Benefit Hoola! I think I’ve found a new bronzing love… Now, if only the good old English weather could improve and I could start topping up on a real tan…
So what do you guys think? Have you been tempted by any of the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Collection? Or has another summer range caught your eye? Let me know in the comments!
