My Top 5 Eyeshadow Palettes

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Today I’m talking about one of my favourite things… Eyeshadow palettes.

There’s something so satisfying about opening up these little boxes of goodness (especially when they’re all new and pristine) and seeing all the beautiful different shades. In the past, I was always quite boring with my eye makeup. It was either some sort of bronze/coppery look, or a simple smoky eye. Since I started this blog though I’ve branched out a bit to include lots of blues, greens, reds, and purples (yes, even purple). Here are my absolute favourites right now and the ones which I never tire of using!

Stila In the Light PaletteΒ (top left): This was my first proper eyeshadow palette and it’s still one of my favourites! I just love the mix of colours and textures; from nude and matte, to silver and sparkly. My most used shades are Kitten (a gorgeous silver perfect for highlighting inner corners), Bubbly (a golden, shimmery champagne), and Sunset (the most stunning reddish gold). This is a great staple palette for beginners as you can create such a variety of looks.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 (top right): Supposedly a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 1 (I’ve never tried it, so I don’t know!), I still cannot believe this palette cost me a minuscule Β£4!! For such a bargain price, these shadows are great quality. Not quite as pigmented as the Stila palette, but it is a fraction of the price!

Charlotte Tilbury La Dolce Vita (bottom left): I did a review of this recently here so I won’t bang on too much here… But seriously, this palette is just amazing. The shades are so beautiful and interesting, I always get complimented when I wear it, and it’s really easy to transport as the packaging is so sleek.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Tisse VenitienΒ (bottom middle): Again, I did a post on this palette fairly recently called The Chanel Edit, so please check that out for a more detailed review! I just love the sea green colour scheme here and it looks amazing with blue or green eyes. Also, the silver really packs a punch!

Dior 3 Coleurs in Smoky Brown (bottom right): This is one of those palettes which i don’t think I’ll ever be without. It’s just so useful! If I’m going away for the weekend, often I’ll just take this as its so compact, and it doubles up as an eyebrow palette! I love that the colours are so pigmented and long-wearing. Please Dior, I beg you never to discontinue this!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite palettes! I’d love to hear what yours are too?? Let me know in the comments below!

    1. Oh I’ll check your post out!! I agree, I get more use out of quads cus they’re so much easier to take away somewhere. And all the shades go together! Although there’s something quite satisfying about a new full sized palette haha xxx
