So now that we’ve less than a month to go until Christmas, I feel like it’s perfectly acceptable to start talking about it/blogging about it/singing about it… right?? Yes, it might be a little too soon to whip out the Michael Buble Christmas album, but in my opinion it’s never too early for an evening in with mulled wine and Elf on the box (I can watch that film all. year. round.). In fact, I’ve even started putting together my Christmas Inspiration Pinterest board. That’s when you know things are really getting festive.
While we still have some time to go, it’s always good to get the gift-buying in fairly early, before the crowds and general madness begins. I thought you might like to see what’s on my wishlist this year; hopefully it might give you some ideas or maybe, like me, you just like being nosey. Usually, the way it works, is I’ll give my family a list of all the things I have my eye on and they’ll pick a couple off said list, as well as throw in a few surprises. So take a gander, and let me know what you think…
I’ll start with the beauty, as there’s usually a few things on my list. I’ve been fairly good this year and whittled it down to 4 products I’ve been lusting over for the last few months…
First up, there had to be some Charlotte Tilbury in there right? After falling madly in love with her Dolce Vita Luxury Eyeshadow Quad (review), I decided I needed another one in my collection. As Dolce Vita contains very warm, reddish tones, I really like the look of Uptown Girl as its frosty, cool-toned cousin. I think the pale blues and silvery shimmer will be perfect for winter-time.
I’ve put two Chanel products on my list this year, which is unusual as I haven’t bought anything from this brand in forever. While I was perusing the John Lewis makeup aisles though, I came across the Rouge Allure Lipstick Collection; a range of luxurious deep-coloured lipsticks with a satin finish. The shade Pirate was particularly swoon-worthy and I’ve decided I need a dark vampish red in my collection. I’ve also added an old favourite of mine in the form of the Perfection Lumiere Foundation – the most heavenly sheer base which gives an instant healthy glow.
Finally, my favourite skincare brand Liz Earle have released their Limited Edition Christmas versions of the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (review). I’ve already made my way through half a bottle of the Jasmine and Osmanthus scent, so now I’m hoping to try the gorgeous-sounding Pink Pepper and Mint. Doesn’t it just look and sound so good??
On to the miscellaneous items… I always love a good scented candle (who doesn’t?) and there’s something about The White Company‘s clean, contemporary collection which makes my heart flutter. This year, I’d love to try the new Fresh Fig scent. I had a good whiff in store, and it smells delicious.
Entertainment-wise, this should come as no surprise, but I obviously want the new Adele 25 album. There’s something nice about having it in actual old-school CD form, you know? Brings me back to my youth… I’m also trying desperately to stop myself from rushing out and buying the new Robert Galbraith (aka J.K.Rowling) book Career of Evil. The first two had me on the edge of my seat so I’m trying to save this one till xmas. If you like a good crime/mystery novel, I definitely recommend giving these a go.
And finally, my main item on the wishlist this year, goes to this pair of Kurt Geiger Londres Trainers. I’ve seen these floating about on Pinterest quite a few times and they always look so chic and cool, but fun at the same time. I’m in love!
What do you guys think of my wishlist? And what’s on yours this year? Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading! Joanna xxxxx
