A Handy Tan for your Christmas Do

DSC04742

Now, I may not be the biggest fake tan enthusiast (due to general laziness mixed with the fact I can mostly be found wearing jeans or yoga pants), but it’s now the festive season and occasions are starting to pop up when I might just have to reveal my pasty limbs to the world. This is when a decent fake tan is needed, so as not to blind people with the luminous white glow of my winter skin.

This last month, I’ve been reaching for the Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse whenever I need a quick boost of colour. What’s great about it is that you only need to leave it on for 1-3 hours (depending on how dark you like it), before a quick rinse off in the shower and you’re good to go. No fuss, no having to leave it on overnight (ruining your sheets in the process), and no strangely unpleasant ‘fake tan smell’. I use the shade ‘Dark’ and find 1 hour is perfect for when I want that light ‘I just got back from a weekend in Barcelona’ kind of vibe, whereas 3 hours is more an ‘I’ve spent a solid week sunning myself in the South of France’ shade. Bear in mind, that I like to go quite easy on my tan, so if you want a very deep brown shade, this may not be strong enough.

I find this mousse applies really nicely to skin and if I take my time, it doesn’t look streaky or blotchy at all (sometimes it can do when I’m in a rush though!). It’s not at all orange, which is something I always worry about, and it dries pretty quickly, meaning it won’t destroy every white object you happen to touch in the process. Just make sure to exfoliate and moisturise your skin, preferably a day before you plan to wear this, so your skin is suitably prepped and polished!

At Β£7.99, I really do think this is such a bargain compared to brands like St. Tropez (I don’t see much difference between the two…) so I would definitely recommend giving this a go if you’re looking for a new tanning product this festive season.

Have any of you tried Cocoa Brown Tan? What did you think? And do you have any other recommendations?

Check back in on Friday to see what I got up to in Madrid! In the meantime, you can get a sneak peak over on Bloglovin’, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest πŸ™‚
