My Christmas Day Makeup Menu

In my family, Christmas Day goes a little something like this…

Wake up and indulge in a sophisticated brunch of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and the obligatory Bucks Fizz; enthusiastically open all our presents (this part always goes far too quickly for my liking); drive down to Hereford where most of my family lives (unless we’re hosting), where we eat a phenomenal amount of food, drink copious amounts of red wine and bailey’s, and take part in an evening of karaoke (no one is exempt), mince pies and finally, collapsing into a food coma.

I always like to match my makeup to my mood, so obviously this look has to be all about the festive feel. I’m thinking red lips, sparkly eyes and glowing skin. Check out the products I’ve chosen for Christmas 2015 and let me know what you think!

Products Used:

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance: This gives just the right amount of glow, without making your face look shiny.

Clinique Even Better Foundation (review): A base that will stay put all day, but still gives a bit of dewiness.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: I’m really feeling this right now! It’s not too heavy, so can be used under eyes, but is just heavy enough to conceal any blemishes or redness.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder: This is such a lovely light powder which never looks cakey. The last thing you want on Christmas Day are any awul dry patches.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow (review): This has to be the most beautiful, Christmassy product I own, so obviously I had to include this.

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil: Just for some slight definition to my brows.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette (review): I used the cream colour all over my lid for a velvety base and slight highlight, and then the fawny brown colour in my crease.

Estee Lauder Pur Colour Eyeshadow in Sizzling Copper: This provides the festive element! I patted onto the centre of my eyelid with my finger for an added sparkle.

NARS Velvet Matte Pencil in Red Square: I may have splashed out on this today as a present to myself, and I’m in love! It seems really long lasting so should stay put throughout tomorrow’s meal.

I hope you enjoy this look and I really hope you all have a lovely Christmas! Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to read, like or comment on any of my posts. I really appreciate it.

Merry Christmas everybody!
