The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation is one of those products which I’ve been using for yonks but just never actually bothered to review. It’s been featured in quite a couple of my tutorials, but I felt like it deserved its own post ya know?
So where to start? The packaging of this foundation is lovely, as you’d expect from a high-end brand. It comes in a glass bottle which feels sturdy but light at the same time, and has a much needed pump (it upsets me that some brands don’t…Estee Lauder Double Wear, I’m looking at you). The reason I like this formula so much is that it offers fairly good coverage but still looks very dewy and natural. It’s not as sheer as my Chanel Perfection Lumiere but it still gives that “my skin but better” effect. In the picture above, I’m only wearing the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra, and nothing else whatsoever, so hopefully you can see what I mean!
In terms of longevity, this isn’t as long lasting as some other options, so super oily girls might want to avoid. Personally though, I find with a touch of powder and some Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, I’m good to go for 4 hours or so before I need a touch up. Finally this feels just gorgeous to apply. I like to use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush if I want a more full-coverage look and a Beauty Blender for a light layer. It’s incredibly creamy and super easy to blend, drying down to a satin finish.
Now that I’ve almost used this up, I’m looking for a new foundation! I’m thinking either Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation or Burberry’s Fresh Glow.. Do you guys have any recommendations or thoughts?
Check back in on Monday for a new post 🙂
