If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while, you may have gathered that I have a slight obsession with the Charlotte Tilbury Makeup range. I think if someone said to me I could have an unlimited supply of products from any one brand, Charlotte Tilbury would probably be my choice. While I haven’t been able to sample too much of the range – as it is definitely on the luxury end of the price-scale – everything I have tried has been absolutely beautiful. Plus I’m in love with anything rose gold at the moment…
Her most famous and raved-about product is arguably her lipsticks, which have the most incredible formulas and colours. They’re split into two variations; K.I.S.S.I.N.G and Matte Revolution, with the latter obviously being a matte formula and the first having more of a shiny, glossy tone. So far, I’ve collected four shades and they’re probably my most used in my entire collection. I thought I’d show you what I have so far and why I love them so much.
Going from light to dark, Bitch Perfect has to be my most worn shade of all. It’s a beautifully wearable pink-toned nude; perfect for your everyday! I find that for a nude lipstick, this is really long-lasting and I don’t feel like I have to constantly reapply it throughout the day. It also has a lovely hint of peach which I feel complements my colouring. This is what I reach for whenever I’m going for a ‘no-makeup-makeup look’ or if I’ve gone heavy on the eyes and want something neutral but still pretty on the lips.
My most recent purchase… This was brought out as a limited edition shade for Valentine’s Day and is only available online or at her new store in Covent Garden. It’s more of a punchy, bright pink with a hint of fuchsia, and I find it has more of a glossy sheen than Bitch Perfect. I think this is so so pretty and I cannot wait to crack this out with Spring starting to appear.
As it is quite glossy, I recommend applying it then waiting 20-30 mins before having your first sip of a drink/bite to eat as it can transfer quite easily. However, once it’s been left to dry a little, it lasts really well!
The Matte Revolution range is absolutely stunning. I love the fact that despite the formula drying down completely matte, it’s actually really hydrating and creamy on application. Something quite rare as I often find you have to choose between matte and drying or creamy and glossy.
Bond Girl is a really interesting colour and if I had to describe it, I’d probably go with “berry brown”. Somewhere between a reddish brown and a berry tone, I find it’s very unique and extremely pretty on all complexions. I love wearing this with minimal makeup to make it a bit more exciting, or with a smoky eye for a seriously glamorous look. It especially pairs well with the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Quad.
This is the most dramatic and intense of all the shades, but again it’s surprisingly wearable. It’s a deep berry tone – amazing for a night out – and very matte. I think it’s stunning and I just love wearing this with a black top/black jeans combo. It’s the only accessory you need!
So what do you guys think of my mini collection? Which one is your favourite and do you have any of them yourself? Also, if you have any recommendations for which should be next on my wishlist, let me know in the comments!
