It’s unusual that I fall in love with a new skincare product… As my skin is pretty sensitive, I tend to be a creature of habit, mostly sticking to the products I know work for me (I think I’ve been using the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish range on and off since I was 16!). So it’s surprising that in the last month or two, I’ve discovered some incredible products which have basically kicked my old routine to the curb. I’ll be doing a post or video on my full skincare collection soon so keep your eyes peeled for that, but for now, I’m going to concentrate on a particularly special find!
The Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is one of those products that even people without any interest in skincare seem to have heard of. The distinctive blue bottle is really recognisable and I always see it popping up in beauty videos or blogs. It’s an amazing cocktail of different essential oils (99% natural!), meant to hydrate and speed up the revitalisation process of your skin overnight so you wake up looking completely fresh!
I have to say, this stuff is just dreamy. I think it was love on first application… Firstly, the smell. Oh the smell… It’s like a spa in a bottle with amazing notes of lavender (which can sometimes be a bit overpowering but really isn’t here). I take a little drop and then gently dab it all over my face, particularly my cheeks which tend to be the most dry area.
I honestly do find this makes a visible difference to my skin. I tend to use it every other night in place of a moisturiser, and the next morning everything just looks so bright and refreshed. The texture of my skin also feels a lot softer and more smooth since using this. I’ve even been having quite a few compliments on my complexion recently! This is also what I immediately reach for if I’ve had a long, stressful day or a late night. You may feel rubbish on the inside, but at least your skin won’t show it!
While this is quite an expensive product, I really think it’s fully worth it. It feels amazing and actually makes an obvious difference. I also only use 1-2 drops a time, so it should last forever! Whatever skin type you have – dry, oily, mature – it’s definitely something to try out!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Have you ever used the Kiehl’s Midnight recovery Concentrate? What did you think of it? Do you have any other recommendations?
