Dior Forever and Ever Loose Setting Powder | Review

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

I was pretty proud of myself recently when I completely used up all of my MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Pressed Powder – there’s something very satisfying about a totally used up palette don’t you think? So in the market for a new setting powder, I trotted down to Sephora for a browse.

In the end I opted for the Diorskin Forever & Ever Control Invisible Loose Powder (seriously are brands having a competition nowadays to see who can come up with the longest name?). It’s been getting rave reviews recently and who doesn’t love a bit of Dior?

First up, can we just talk about this packaging? I mean, I know it’s Dior and they always knock it out of the park, but this is seriously beautiful. It’s the classic black and silver packaging, the perfect size (you get 8g worth of product), and sturdy without being heavy. Plus, my absolute favourite thing about this is the mesh design in the centre of the pot. What usually puts me off loose powders is that they tend to get really messy and you end up wasting a lot of product, however this has been cleverly designed to prevent any fallout. You press your brush into the mesh centre and powder will naturally be distributed, but when it’s not being pressed, the powder will stay safely in the pot!

On the formula side, this is again another winner. I dust it all over my face and everything instantly looks much more flawless and airbrushed. It also makes a noticeable difference to the longevity of my makeup. Bring on the hot sweaty Paris metro, my makeup will not be shifting! It’s really finely-milled and super lightweight; plus it’s completely invisible once it sinks into skin so any skin-tone will be able to wear this.

Dior have created such an amazing product in this. If you find your skin tends to get quite shiny or oily throughout the day, I definitely recommend trying this out. The price is obviously quite high, but I honestly think it’s worth every penny!

Have any of you guys tried the Dior Forever & Ever Setting Powder? What did you think? And do you have any other favourite powders on the market?
