So being back at my family home in Cheltenham, the town I grew up in, had to mean a few things… 1. A nice long bubble bath complete with scented candles, a fashion magazine, and the new Beyonce album, 2. Making the most of a fully stocked kitchen with food I didn’t have to pay for (I’ve already chomped through an entire pack of my favourite chocolate biscuits), and 3. A trip to Space NK.
As one of my favourite stores, which sadly can’t be found in France (at least I haven’t seen one) , I knew I had to pop in and see what was new on the shelves. I love that it stocks a bunch of interesting and innovative brands you often can’t find anywhere else. Brands like NARS, Sunday Riley, OSKIA, and By Terry, which before Space NK opened, I could only get my hands on when I took a trip to London.
Well it didn’t take me long to take a gander into town to see what was on offer. Originally, I’d just planned to pick up some moisturiser but of course, once I’d stepped over the threshold, I was never going to stop there was I??
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet: This is what i originally went into Space NK for (damn those shelves of tempting beauty goodness). I actually spoke about this product in My Weekend-Away Skincare and I’ll be doing a full review post soon if you want to see why I love this product so much so stay tuned for that. For now though, I’ll leave it with the fact that after running out of my travel-sized version, I knew I needeed to go back for more…
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner: I’ve been skipping toner for a while – it used to be a staple in my skin routine – but I’ve been really feeling the Kiehl’s brand recently. It’s a brand i’ve only really been using the last 6 months or so but everything I’ve tried seems to be beautiful (I’m obsessed with the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate). I figured I’d like to give this a go as it seems to have great reviews online. So far, I’ve only tried it once and it has a lovely milky soothing texture. I’ll report back on this one in a few weeks time!
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream: So this was actually a little free gift from the lovely ladies at Space NK. I’m obsessed with hand creams and I’m actually quite picky about them as I have very sensitive, dry skin. Sometimes in winter, my hands get so dry to the point I get cracked skin across my knuckles *shudder* so I always have to keep one by my bed and in my handbag. A few creams I’ve used in the past have given me rashes or made the dryness worse so I’ll see how this one reacts. From trying it once, it smells lovely with a gorgeous citrussy scent, so I’m hoping it will work out for me!
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage: While I’ve been loving my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for under-eye dark circles, I don’t really have anything that’s specifically targeted towards concealing blemishes. This is supposedly amazing for covering any imperfections and giving you that airbrushed, flawless complexion we all want, so I’m looking forward to trying this out.
Have you guys tried any of these products? What did you think of them?
Check back in tomorrow for a brand new video! You can watch my last one here 🙂
