A Little Life Update

Good morning everyone… I’m currently writing this from my comfy bed in Paris, with the sun streaming in through the shutters and a view of the perfect blue sky. It’s about time too, as the weather in Paris has been truly awful for the past month with daily episodes of rain, storms, floods, the works. It looks like summer is finally poking its head around the corner though.

I wanted to just do a quick check-in type of post today, as I feel like I’ve been so busy the last few weeks and haven’t really had a chance to blog as much as I’d like to. I always think it’s nice as well to throw a few life stories into the beauty mix and add a more personal aspect. So what has been going on…

Holidays: If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to go on holiday to Spain with my family. We spent 3 nights in Barcelona (for which my boyfriend joined us) and then 7 nights in a small town on the coast near Girona. This was such a perfect combination as I really felt like I just needed a proper break you know? I haven’t had a proper holiday since I started my graduate scheme in September so it was lovely to have some time off. I’ve also already been to Barcelona before so we didn’t feel too stressed about doing all the touristy things – just lots of amazing tapas and strolling around taking in the atmosphere. Then at the villa, we spent the 7 days reading by the pool, sunbathing on the beach, and enjoying fresh seafood. A well deserved break and I came back feeling very refreshed! Expect a vlog coming your way soon…

Work: Since the holiday though, work has really been going full-throttle. I’m on a marketing graduate scheme and the French business I’m currently working for is quite a small, fairly recent start up. This means I get a lot of hands on experience, which is fantastic for me, but sometimes can be quite pressured! We’ve been building up to our new TV campaign shoot which took place on Wednesday and was a brilliant experience. It was very cool seeing how it all works and how everything we’ve done has come together. I’m now really looking forward to seeing the first edit! Because of this though, I’ve been rushing about here there and everywhere (6 eurostars in 7 days was not fun!) but I did have another reward last weekend when I finally got to see Beyonce live in concert! She was incredible and totally lived up to the expectations.

Paris: It’s so sad for me to think about, but I only have 2 more months left in Paris! I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown, it feels like I arrived a few weeks ago and there’s still so many things I want to do. This weekend, we’re planning to do some shopping in Le Marais, walk the Promenade Plantee, explore the Bastille area, and maybe visit the Catacombs. And of course, France have reached the final for the Euros so we’ll definitely be going to watch the match at the fanzone outside the Eiffel Tower on Sunday evening. I get the feeling Monday is going to be a difficult day at work for most Frenchies…

I’m hoping things will be a bit calmer for a while now, so there’s sure to be more content going up on my blog and channel soon. Be sure to subscribe and follow so you don’t miss anything!Β

What has been going on in all of your lives? Let me know if you’ve got anything exciting coming up in the comments and check back in tomorrow for a new post πŸ™‚

  1. Firstly, I really love those pictures and what a ride! 6 euro star in a week – maybe it sounds fancy but I know it is totally tiring and I know how you feel as I’m just back from weekend getaway and I’m still feeling so tired and exhausted. Lastly, I’m happy to see you have a perfect balance with both work and lifestyle. Brilliant!
