Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation Review

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

Time for another beauty review!

I get really excited when I find a new foundation I love as they’re often a bit of a disappointment. They’re either too dewy or too matte, sometimes they get greasy throughout the day, and sometimes the colour’s just not right. There’s a reason I’ve pretty much stuck to the Chanel Perfection Lumiere and the Estee Lauder Double Wear for so long – because I know they work!

So when I do find a new one that really impresses me, I have to shout about it. And the current fave? It’s the new Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation has done exactly that…

This is a full coverage, matte foundation so it’s become my go-to for nights out or events. What I love about it is that it’s matte but not at all cakey; neither does it feel really heavy on the skin. What it does do though, is last. all. day. Seriously, this stuff won’t budge! To give it a really good test, I even applied it first thing in the morning around 7.30am, travelled to London, rode the tube, and went out for dinner with the girls before finally removing it around 11pm, and it still looked pretty damn good!

I’ve come across some reviewers who claim to have had issues with oxidation with this foundation, saying it turns an orange shade after a few hours. I haven’t had this issue at all though so I don’t know if it’s certain shades (mine is 3.25).

Finally, I adore the packaging of this. I think it’s really modern and cool – totally different to my other more classic bottles from the likes of Dior and Chanel.

I find the best method of application for the UD All Nighter Foundation is with a damp beauty sponge. This way it blends out more seamlessly, even if it does take a while longer. But a buffing brush or even your fingers works too!

Overall, I’m so impressed with this foundation and I’ve reached for it any time I know I need my makeup to last well. If you’re looking for something high coverage and matte, but non-cakey, I really recommend this!

Have any of you guys tried the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation? What did you think? And would you like to try it?

Check back in on Saturday for a new post 🙂

  1. I’ve just bought it and the urban decay sales woman pretty much admitted that it oxidises! She told me to get shade 1.0 which I did and it does seem to match but initially it’s white!! From pictures I didn’t think I was that much lighter than you! I’m on the fence with this one as I bought too faced born this way at the same time and absolutely love that so I think I may need to give this another chance! Xx

    1. It’s really strange cus loads of people have warned about it oxidising but I’ve found it to be completely fine! I wore it for about 16 hours straight for a day and evening in London and it still looked great! I really want to try the born this way foundation next though I think xxx

  2. I hated it. Oxidizes way too much and looks cakey after it dries on me. The shades seem to be too orange or too yellow. Not enough neutral. I wanted to love it. Tried 3 different shades and none of them worked. I’ll stick with my Double Wear & Lancome Teint Idole.

  3. I have this foundation and it oxidises so much, I go from a lovely match to orange within hours and my god does it make me break out, I love it for when I need full coverage but couldn’t wear it every day!
